A Date with Wall-E

Bebs & I watched Wall-E yesterday in Megamall. Since we were an hour and a half early, we took pictures - and all of the people waiting did the same as well.




Pictures are all unedited and was taken by my camera phone. Bebs told me I was a trendsetter - making lots of weird stuff & activities that most strangers would follow. I told him I don't even know if that was a compliment, but hey, I had a great time with him.

I'm loving my vacation leave - it's the first time that I get to experience being a bum (does this even count?), and I began to take care of myself again. I get to spend time with me - and I can see now that it's all worth it. ^_^

What Chair?

I remembered Bebs telling me a story of not being over analytical.

There was this professor teaching psychology who gave a test to his class. He said that the student who will get the correct answer / reason gets the highest grade. He asked them on how to make the chair disappear; and so lots answered in very long sentences and took them hours to give their reasonings / theories.

The first one to give his answer, and was considered to be the 'dumb one' in their class, in just a few minutes, with just two words - got the highest grade for his test.

His answer was "What chair?"

It was his way of telling me not to think too much. I usually get involve in any aspect like work, life, relationships and all kinds of stuff. I worry too much about people around me when in fact, I can't even worry or take care of myself in the process.

And so with that, I filed my 10-day vacation leave for the 1st time in my working history, and also decided on my despedida party on the 22nd of this month.

Trip to Pangasinan for the 2nd Time

We're back and almost black! XD~

Anyway, got home and soooo uber tired from the almost 6-hour trip. But overall, the experience and the uber tasty food was worth it. April 19, around 11PM, we arrived at the House of Asian Seafood and checked in. It was funny because after buying our late dinner in the central town of Alaminos City, the Koreans asked where we bought it, and the guy who looked like our colleague said Salamat po in a very cute & small voice. ^^

We went to Agno the next morning, since it was my cousin's wedding. However, we ended up touring the small town, and I took him to where the Agno river stretched and connecting to beaches as well.


And then we tour around Alaminos again, buying food and other stuff before heading back at House of Asian, wherein we discovered our fave dish - Chili prawns~ XP~
Monday morning, we head out to the Lucap Wharf Point wherein we purchased our lunch, ticket, and rent for the boat. They were all cheap, including the rent of the snorkeling gears, which surprised us considering it's a peak season.

We decided to hit the Governor's island because Quezon was quite packed already - and this was a very good decision because the island was practically empty!!! It's as if we had our own private island - just the two of us! :P


We told the driver to pick us up at 5pm. So we took an early lunch on the island, and started climbing on the other side, until we reached our spot - and where the jellyfish resides. XD~

The people were nice, even the ones that we passed during our boat fieldtrip were waving at us, and the maintenance people had given us a garbage bag - which most stupid tourists neglect to do during vacation trip - to maintain cleanliness on their spot at the beach. We also pointed out the fact some dumb kids carved their names on the old tree there. It was so very disappointing as well. -_-"

Good thing the driver was there about minutes early, coz we wanted to go home as well, since we were both tired as well, and needed to shop more (I haggled most of our pasalubongs)

This is not the end of our vacation - yep, I'll be cajoling to Bebs again for our next round~! *evil grins*

A Need for Change

Another English post (well, most of my friends are not Filipinos, so there~)

Lately I've been so toxic at work, that I even cried at the ladies' restroom, and locked myself in a handicapped cubicle. Sounds crazy, but true.

It's horrible enough to know that you won't make it through, no matter how smart you are, or how you look good infront of an entire hundreds of people that's beaming on you, looking up to you all this time...

But I know I'm no fake. I am who I am. No matter how hard I tried, I know some are still saying bad stuff at my back. So I stopped trying, and started DOING something that would benefit other causes. Yes, it's like I'm on a mission. Like a charity work, but this time, no more smiles and those little decorations in a room. This time, just one deep breath should do it.

Perhaps you would say, 'girl you're crazy.' But hey, I'm no rockstar or popstar or any kind of celestial beings up there in the sky. I'm just an ordinary girl trying to make a living. Perhaps passion is also the key in staying in this kind of job. It's also sad that most of them see me as an idol or something. Scratch that, they thought I can do EVERYTHING. Hah! If that happens, I am now a self-proclaimed millionaire.

I stopped for a moment as if the world suddenly stopped for me. And here I was putting almost everything before me, when I thought I was doing everything it for myself, I end up neglecting my own needs and wants.

Friends can sometimes hurt you bad, but they tell the facts.

I just got back from Cainta (my parents' house) and had a one-on-one with my Mom last night. She confronted me on my live-in with my Bebs, so she wanted to arrange my marriage soon (yes, she doesn't like live-ins). She disagreed on the civil marriage, so we're heading straight to church. It was nice because my sisters were also excited, and they knew I'm tight on budget, so they agreed to be my 'wedding planners.' Katherine Heigl anyone? XD~

My Mom however, had strict conditions. She wanted to have my wedding in Cainta (>_<) and have the reception in a restaurant to lessen workload on my family (that I'd agree to). She also wanted to meet Lee's parents by November. So, I guess I have a wedding date by 2009 then. ~.~

What touched my heart is that my Dad's talk about the situation:

I didn't knew my Dad can be poetic and romantic. He even offered to pay for my wedding, and I politely refused. Not that I mind, but I'm not used anymore to get money from my parents. I made that clear before during my college graduation. Perhaps it's that I wanted to grow up fast before, but hell, it made me still feel I'm Daddy's little girl. And yeah, I cried over his talk with me. I'm such a cornball. ~.~

I have less than a year to prepare. So I'm going back to my long list of tasks and shops now. Goodluck to me! ^_^
